Serving Men, Boys, Family and Community
in Union County, NC
The Union County Community Shelter recognizes its endorsement of M2 of First Baptist Church of Indian Trail as an outstanding community partner and organization of extreme quality.
The M2 group offers the Community Shelter multiple services, utilizing their shared mission of helping the homeless, hungry, and lost, while offering a comforting hand to our clients. These services include preparing and serving meals in our soup kitchen, providing free haircuts for shelter clients through the Hearts and Haircuts program, donating canned goods to our soup kitchen through drives, and providing mentoring services – all services which are invaluable to our agency and the clients we serve.
It is groups like M2 that make a true difference in the community at large, with repercussions that go much further than a haircut or serving a meal. Union County Community Shelter is proud to endorse M2 in any capacity.

The importance of men having strong role models is sorely overlooked. This filters down to our young men, boys, and our female populations in ways society has recently come to realize and truly acknowledge. Men are majorly instrumental in the development of the society they influence. M2 Mentoring, from a place of recognized need, has picked up the gauntlet, carrying the mantle of leadership, discipleship, and even more – friendship. Personally and directly Garden of Hope has witnessed the positive influence of mature, Christ following men as they have chosen to walk with younger men and boys of our single mother families. Know this – M2 Mentoring begins with grown men shouldering with other grown, dedicated men joining in the effort of training up a child…we thank you all.
