Serving Men, Boys, Family and Community
in Union County, NC
Seeds is our boys ministry. It was birthed through a partnership with a single mother's ministry called garden of hope. It became more of a 'see a need, fill a need' approach, but it was quickly clear that the future men of our world need the guidance they deserve. We minister and lead boys 12 to 17, regardless of their family make-up.
The issues that affect our young men today, like pornography, drugs, idolization, extended adolescence, emasculation, feminisation and the removal of leadership as the role of the male, broken families and fatherless homes are cyclical and epidemically damaging... Our goal is to define, teach and help our boys reach manhood as God intended through the Gospel of Jesus Christ in 1:1 mentoring and group studies.

This ministry is typically focused on the single parent, however we welcome all boys as fellowship with believers is important to all.
"Train up a child in the way he should go,
And when he is old he will not depart from it...." - Proverbs 22:6
BOYS
PARENTS
Single parent or guardian? We would like to help and we're here to support you too.

We will meet with your son regularly, keep you up to date on our meetings, yet provide him a space of confidentiality where he can confide in us as long as his goal isn't to hurt himself or others. The goal is discipleship, helping him find his place in Christ and develop a relationship with Him. Through discipleship, it is our prayer he gets the consistency he needs.

Single moms, our goal is to guide your son towards a Biblical framework of what God designed your son to be. We will show him compassion, prayer, how to study the Bible and give him avenues to express himself, talk to and learn from men and other boys his age.
We can also provide you Spiritual support with women's Bible studies and a ministry liaison to relay what's going on.
Single dads, we're here for you too. We can pair you up with an accountability partner and will encourage you to participate when necessary with your sons' progress.
Families, need an extra layer of accountability, activity and Christian fellowship, you are very welcome to contact us as well. As with
OUR STRATEGY
KNOWLEDGE
All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.
2 Timothy 3:16-17
APPLICATION
Do not merely listen to the word, and so deceive yourselves. Do what it says.
James 1:22
OUR AIM
To bring the Gospel to all men; to study, teach and help apply God's Word in our lives. Accountability, responsibility, honesty, discipleship, mentoring, fellowship and love...

Our goal is family. Headship in servitude. Establishing healthy cyles.
HOW?
Our team is comprised of men and women who love Jesus Christ. We are studied and trained on how to make disciples; we've studied God's Word and work daily to apply it ourselves. We're not perfect, but we rely on God's perfect Word.
“In a sort of ghastly simplicity we remove the organ and demand the function. We make men without chests and expect of them virtue and enterprise. We laugh at honour and are shocked to find traitors in our midst. We castrate and bid the geldings be fruitful.”

- C.S. LEWIS, THE ABOLITION OF MAN
OUR APPROACH
Man to Boy to Family
True discipleship is one to one. One man walking, talking, listening, encouraging and lifting up another. It’s a 2 way street that’s rewarding for both mentor and disciple. We work with the family and the boy to establish goals in the home, in school and in their Spiritual life. This is honestly our most challenging ministry as we work with the family, an added dimension. We have women who serve with us who can bridge the gap and serve as a buffer between the mentor and the single mother if that's the case.
Groups
We meet regularly in groups to do Bible studies, to pray for each other, to share our lives and struggles and encourage each other. No judgment. No religion. Just real talk.

Outreach
So, the walk of a Christian man does not stop at us; we are not reservoirs, we are conduits… our entire existence is based on transfer of knowledge and teaching others as humans, and that is no different in being a Christian. So, therefore we go out and try to show God’s love through action to the community. We will get boys to serve in the community, landscaping, cleaning, feeding the homeless and so forth.

Getting Out
We partner with a Christian-based sports ministry and offer scholarships to help boys get involved in a positive activity. We attend local professional sports games, get out to bowl or play laser tag or go camping for a retreat. It's definitely important to experience life with our brothers.
Our next generation of men is under more social pressure, exposed to increasingly more sexually charged media and images than any generation before it and it is being bombarded by more morally challenging social issues that will affect the future and the women and children to follow more than any generation before it. Let's work to restore God's design for men and family.
